Using digital outdoor to its full potential, 50 separate creative executions will be showcased across the Cromwell Road digital portfolio. As a celebration of design and outdoor, each piece of creative will receive multiple screenings across the nine digital screens during the weekend showcase.

The showcase continues JCDecaux’s commitment to working with new and innovative design talent to encourage creativity and will run throughout the weekend to an estimated 350,000 people.

In partnership with Icograda, the International Council of Communication Design, and to celebrate World Communication Design Day, the world’s most promising design talent from countries including the UK, the USA, Canada, China, South Korea, Mexico, Germany and Russia will display their work on the iconic London Cromwell Road Digital Gateway portfolio. The 50 design pieces will reflect this year’s 50th anniversary of Icograda and will demonstrate the flexibility of digital outdoor – 50 posters celebrating 50 years from every continent around the globe.

Under the theme of ‘1Love1Word’ new and original creative design work has been selected from some of the most cutting-edge designers across the world.

Spencer Berwin, managing director – sales for JCDecaux UK, said: “JCDecaux is committed to working with the very best creative design talent. We are delighted to be playing a key part in celebrating World Communication Design Day with 50 creatives from 50 designers from 5 continents across the globe.

“The Cromwell Road Digital Gateway is the ideal location for this exceptional design showcase as it will be seen by a global audience travelling between central London and Heathrow Airport. I’d encourage all those interested in how digital outdoor can present creative design at its best to visit The Cromwell Road Digital Gateway this weekend.”

Marilena Farruggia, managing director of Icograda, said: “The initiative stemmed from people coming together with a spirit of collaboration and passion for design. This was an example of young talent taking a risk and turning an idea into reality and that’s what Icograda was built on… the spirit of possibility.

“The theme 1Love1Word was envisioned by members of our board… and you will see other initiatives this year celebrating this theme.
“We hope that young talent will be inspired to try… to aim high and make things happen instead of waiting for something to happen.”
